We arrive in Queenstown!

We left the Farm at Cape Kidnappers with sad hearts, but Bob drove us back to the airport and regaled us with stories of his fishing prowess the day before, making the journey a lot of fun.  Our first flight was from Napier to Christchurch and then from Christchurch to Queenstown.  Christchurch airport surprised us with its numerous international flights coming in and out.  But the best part of all the travel was that domestic flights within New Zealand are as easy as pie.  No security, no lines, no ID checks.  Just wave a boarding pass and get on a plane.  Carrying a few bottles of water?  No worries.  Forgot to wear shoes today?  No problem.  Just buckle in, settle down and enjoy the flight.  Oh, and have a biscuit, on us.  :)

The weather was a bit unpredictable coming into Christchurch, with lots of random air currents making the plane shake a lot.  This poor lady in the row opposite and behind us had a minor panic attack and was crying.  We tried to keep her calm until we landed, but she was very scared.  Poor thing!  Luckily, Christchurch was her final destination.

The views coming into Queenstown were amazing - Billy took some photos out of the window, and the scenery doesn't look real.  But after checking into our new accommodations at The Rees hotel, with amazing views of Lake Wakatipu, we can assure you, the scenery really is that amazing.  Here are some photos of our Easter Sunday!

Amazing view(s)!!

The view from our new room(s)

Gorgeous.  Nice scenery too. :)

Making funny faces while I blog... Yes, I am using a Macbook but only because it has the photos on it!
